A bit about the bloke

Nutrition for Blokes

G'day G'day, Joy in learning is the passion of my life. I love teaching because I delight in watching others as they discover just how easy learning can be when one has the right strategies. Quentin Grady.

I started teaching when I was in primary school. It seemed the natural thing to do. For decades I taught chemistry, physics, electrical and electronics. Half a century on I'm a support tutor in a tertiary institute.

My highest award is a PASM, Principal Academic Staff Member. PASMs are rated in the top 5% of tutors in a tertiary institute. I am now retired from classroom teaching but provide academic student support.

I specialise in teaching students how to be successful in tertiary education. Most of my support clients have general needs relevant to adults tackling practical degrees. For example, some who will qualify in Wine Science degrees need background support in chemistry, physics, engineering, electrical theory. Some have specific learning needs eg Asperger's or dyslexia. The reward is often in the rock solid strategies we develop that other students love to use.
